PCT® Law Group Partner Raymond Millien Selected to Manage American Express IP Zone

Washington, DC – PCT Law Group, PLLC, one of the fastest growing minority-owned firms in the nation, with offices in the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Jacksonville, FL, announced today that co-founder Raymond Millien has been selected by American Express Company to manage its newly-launched Intellectual Property Zone (IP Zone).  Mr. Millien focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. 

Launched in beta in April of 2011, American Express created the IP Zone™ to promote the advancement of the IP marketplace, including patents, trademarks, software and other IP products. The IP Zone, which includes an online tool called Virtual Intellectual Property Exchange (VIPEX) and a physical NY office location, is a platform for buying and selling IP globally while cultivating an environment for open innovation and collaboration.  The full launch for the IP Zone is planned for 2012, when businesses will pay a membership fee to participate in the IP Zone, which also includes access to IP transaction courses, IP certifications and IP job training.

As Manager, Mr. Millien will be responsible for presenting to, and negotiating with, IP Zone transactors and participants all standard IP Zone™ agreements, policies, guidelines and documents, including Member Transactor, Non-Member Transactor, Service Provider, and other standard IP Zone agreements, policies, guidelines and documents that American Express creates for the IP Zone. “I, along with my PCT colleagues, are honored to be chosen for this role as it is a testament to the high-quality, cost-effective services we offer to businesses competing in today’s knowledge economy,” said Raymond Millien.
