PCT® Law Group, PLLC Expands Its Intellectual Property Practice By Adding Patrick Delaney

Alexandria, Virginia – December 1, 2011 PCT Law Group, PLLC, one of the nation’s fastest growing minority-owned law firms, announced today the addition of Patrick Delaney to its Northern Virginia office. Mr. Delaney is an accomplished attorney with over 12 years of experience in patent law representing Fortune® 100 corporations and small to large companies engaged in emerging technologies. His practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, as well as providing litigation support services and formal legal opinions relating to patent infringement and validity. In addition, Mr. Delaney has extensive experience in providing counsel and representation in litigation, licensing and contract matters involving patents, trademarks and copyrights. Mr. Delaney has worked with clients in a range of industries, including biotechnology research corporations, large pharmaceutical companies, chemical and electronics manufacturers, computer equipment and software developers, and data service providers in the telecommunications field.

In coming to PCT, Mr. Delaney rejoins his former DLA Piper colleague Raymond Millien, co-founder of the Firm, who states: “Patrick is a welcome addition to PCT’s growing team of talented intellectual property lawyers. Prior to joining PCT, Mr. Delaney was an attorney in the litigation and intellectual property practices at DLA Piper. Mr. Delaney began his legal career at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examining biotechnology and polymer chemistry applications.  He was also a patent associate in the Washington D.C. office of Smith, Gambrell & Russell. Mr. Delaney received a B.S. from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Biotechnology from the Johns Hopkins University, and his J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.
