Mr. Lilley is a seasoned intellectual property professional with experience in patent prosecution and procedures before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, along with patentability and infringement opinions. He has worked on patent applications in the following fields: Medical Devices, Semiconductors, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nano-materials, Biomedical Implants, Power/Fuel Cells, Optics, Superconducting Materials, Heavy Industrial Machinery Aircraft Engine Technology, Metallurgical Processing, Manufacturing Technology and Casting Technology. He has also conducted trademark prosecution and counseling.
Mr. Lilley's practice includes providing intellectual property acquisition management, technology transfer, venture capital fund and acquisition target evaluation consulting, as well as preparing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and license agreements.
Prior to joining PCT, Mr. Lilley practiced in the Washington, D.C. offices of Morrison & Foerster and Kilpatrick Stockton. He was also a Technical Advisor for the Okuyama & Co. Law Office in Tokyo, Japan, and spent two years as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Lilley is a former U.S. Air Force Capitan where he managed the $13 billion U.S.-Japan development's aircraft technology transfer programs. He is the recipient of the Air Force's Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, and National Defense Service Medals as well as the Organizational Excellence Award.
